Hi Marsha, Thanx for your comments, BUT…I didn’t have ANYTHING to do with the #twitter4biz presentation other than attending, and…at the end, I copied the text out of the chat window because I wanted it. After thinking about it for a few minutes, I decided other people might be interested too. So I put it up here for easy access to avoid having to email or share it on google docs.

Ah yes. We have a $100,000 basement. We really need new carpet, but if we’re going to do the carpet we ought to redo the walls and if we redo the walls, we ought to actually make some structural changes down there to make it more useable, and so on.

At school it’s not so much about the actual money as it becomes TIME. I have a million dollar idea about my curriculum, but in order to make the one change that would take about 15 minutes, I need to completely restructure my program so that the students are ready leading up to it…..

I am a huge fan of Google Docs, Facebook and Delicious. They all help use the internet to be a better teacher and be more available to my students and their parents. Thanks for letting us know how to get your articles online.

Oh yeah. Right now, I’m walking on $100,000 carpet. See, we need new carpet. We REALLY need it! But we keep thinking “Well, as long as we’re going to this much trouble, maybe we should repaint the trim that butts up TO the new carpet. In which case, we ought to repaint the WALLS. And if we’re repainting the walls, we HAVE to replace those ugly wall sconces in the hallway …

I had a similar experience yesterday… I was browsing the web looking for a half-marathon training schedule. It was 11 pm and everyone else in the house was fast asleep. All of the sudden an ad BLARED out a commercial at full volume. Fortunately, I found the mute button quickly, but I did wake my husband who was mad! Why do advertisers do this? It’s really obnoxious!
